Investing.com – Peru stocks were higher after the close on Wednesday, as gains in the Mining, Electricity and Services sectors led shares higher.
At the close in Lima, the S&P Lima General rose 0.19%.
The best performers of the session on the S&P Lima General were Trevali Mining (LM:TV), which rose 10.17% or 0.060 points to trade at 0.650 at the close. Meanwhile, Milpo (LM:MIL) added 7.00% or 0.280 points to end at 4.280 and Minsur (LM:MINi) was up 6.67% or 0.090 points to 1.440 in late trade.
The worst performers of the session were Panoro (LM:PML), which fell 5.71% or 0.012 points to trade at 0.198 at the close. Corporacion Aceros Arequipa SA (LM:ARE) declined 2.04% or 0.020 points to end at 0.960 and Inretail Peru (LM:INR) was down 1.92% or 0.500 points to 25.500.
Rising stocks outnumbered declining ones on the Lima Stock Exchange by 18 to 12 and 8 ended unchanged.
Crude oil for September delivery was up 1.12% or 0.75 to $67.91 a barrel. Elsewhere in commodities trading, Brent oil for delivery in September rose 0.01% or 0.01 to hit $73.04 a barrel, while the August Gold Futures contract unchanged 0.00% or 0.00 to trade at $1227.30 a troy ounce.
USD/PEN was down 0.09% to 3.2695, while EUR/PEN rose 0.08% to 3.8125.
The US Dollar Index Futures was up 0.12% at 94.84.
