Investing.com – Peru stocks were higher after the close on Monday, as gains in the Mining, Food & Beverages and Telecoms sectors led shares higher.
At the close in Lima, the S&P Lima General rose 0.19%.
The best performers of the session on the S&P Lima General were Trevali Mining (LM:TV), which rose 3.39% or 0.040 points to trade at 1.220 at the close. Meanwhile, Southern Copper Corp (LM:SPC) added 2.50% or 1.30 points to end at 53.30 and Buenaventura (LM:BVN) was up 2.43% or 0.380 points to 16.030 in late trade.
The worst performers of the session were Minsur (LM:MINi), which fell 3.89% or 0.070 points to trade at 1.730 at the close. Unacem (LM:CEL) declined 2.73% or 0.080 points to end at 2.850 and Grana Y Monter (LM:GRA) was down 2.30% or 0.040 points to 1.700.
Falling stocks outnumbered advancing ones on the Lima Stock Exchange by 17 to 11 and 12 ended unchanged.
Shares in Southern Copper Corp (LM:SPC) rose to all time highs; gaining 2.50% or 1.30 to 53.30.
Crude oil for April delivery was up 0.76% or 0.48 to $64.03 a barrel. Elsewhere in commodities trading, Brent oil for delivery in May rose 0.48% or 0.32 to hit $67.36 a barrel, while the April Gold Futures contract rose 0.34% or 4.50 to trade at $1334.80 a troy ounce.
USD/PEN was down 0.02% to 3.2485, while EUR/PEN fell 0.02% to 3.9957.
The US Dollar Index Futures was down 0.07% at 89.75.
