Investing.com – Peru stocks were higher after the close on Thursday, as gains in the Industrials, Non-Metal Minerals and Food & Beverages sectors led shares higher.
At the close in Lima, the S&P Lima General gained 0.14%.
The best performers of the session on the S&P Lima General were Corporacion Aceros Arequipa SA (LM:ARE), which rose 6.25% or 0.050 points to trade at 0.850 at the close. Meanwhile, Sociedad Minera el Brocal SAA (LM:BRO) added 3.39% or 0.410 points to end at 12.500 and Ferreyros (LM:FER) was up 3.28% or 0.080 points to 2.520 in late trade.
The worst performers of the session were Candente Copper (LM:DNT), which fell 4.93% or 0.0070 points to trade at 0.1350 at the close. Panoro (LM:PML) declined 4.86% or 0.017 points to end at 0.333 and Trevali Mining (LM:TV) was down 3.45% or 0.040 points to 1.120.
Rising stocks outnumbered declining ones on the Lima Stock Exchange by 21 to 13 and 8 ended unchanged.
Shares in Sociedad Minera el Brocal SAA (LM:BRO) rose to 3-years highs; up 3.39% or 0.410 to 12.500. Shares in Ferreyros (LM:FER) rose to all time highs; up 3.28% or 0.080 to 2.520.
Crude oil for December delivery was up 1.26% or 0.66 to $52.84 a barrel. Elsewhere in commodities trading, Brent oil for delivery in December rose 0.02% or 0.01 to hit $59.48 a barrel, while the December Gold Futures contract fell 0.82% or 10.54 to trade at $1268.46 a troy ounce.
USD/PEN was unchanged 0.00% to 3.2395, while EUR/PEN unchanged 0.00% to 3.7816.
The US Dollar Index Futures was up 1.09% at 94.55.
