Investing.com – Peru stocks were higher after the close on Wednesday, as gains in the Non-Metal Minerals, Industrials and Banking & Financials sectors led shares higher.
At the close in Lima, the S&P Lima General rose 0.13%.
The best performers of the session on the S&P Lima General were Unacem (LM:CEL), which rose 4.91% or 0.140 points to trade at 2.990 at the close. Meanwhile, Volcan Minera (LM:VOL_pb) added 3.36% or 0.040 points to end at 1.230 and Andino Investment Holding SAA (LM:AIH) was up 2.78% or 0.050 points to 1.850 in late trade.
The worst performers of the session were Casa Grande (LM:CSG), which fell 3.10% or 0.180 points to trade at 5.630 at the close. Sider (LM:SID) declined 2.34% or 0.011 points to end at 0.459 and Rimac Seguros y Reaseguros (LM:RSR) was down 1.97% or 0.030 points to 1.490.
Falling stocks outnumbered advancing ones on the Lima Stock Exchange by 19 to 10 and 12 ended unchanged.
Crude oil for April delivery was down 2.32% or 1.46 to $61.55 a barrel. Elsewhere in commodities trading, Brent oil for delivery in May fell 2.83% or 1.88 to hit $64.64 a barrel, while the April Gold Futures contract rose 0.07% or 0.90 to trade at $1319.50 a troy ounce.
USD/PEN was up 0.56% to 3.2698, while EUR/PEN rose 0.10% to 3.9828.
The US Dollar Index Futures was up 0.31% at 90.59.
