Investing.com – Peru stocks were higher after the close on Wednesday, as gains in the Banking & Financials, Services and Electricity sectors led shares higher.
At the close in Lima, the S&P Lima General added 0.10%.
The best performers of the session on the S&P Lima General were Minera Irl (LM:IRL), which unchanged 3.75% or 0.00 points to trade at 0.08 at the close. Meanwhile, Relapasa (LM:REL) added 3.64% or 0.010 points to end at 0.285 and Aceros Arequip (LM:AREi) was up 1.51% or 0.010 points to 0.670 in late trade.
The worst performers of the session were Grana Y Monter (LM:GRA), which fell 2.36% or 0.070 points to trade at 2.900 at the close. Backus Johnsto (LM:BKJi) declined 1.76% or 0.300 points to end at 16.700 and Empresa Agroindustrial Pomalca (LM:POM) was down 1.76% or 0.003 points to 0.167.
Falling stocks outnumbered advancing ones on the Lima Stock Exchange by 17 to 13 and 10 ended unchanged.
Crude oil for November delivery was up 0.20% or 0.10 to $51.02 a barrel. Elsewhere in commodities trading, Brent oil for delivery in December rose 0.04% or 0.02 to hit $56.68 a barrel, while the December Gold Futures contract rose 0.04% or 0.46 to trade at $1294.26 a troy ounce.
USD/PEN was down 0.09% to 3.2580, while EUR/PEN unchanged 0.00% to 3.8632.
The US Dollar Index Futures was down 0.32% at 92.79.
