Investing.com – Peru stocks were higher after the close on Friday, as gains in the Banking & Financials, S&P Lima Juniors and Non-Metal Minerals sectors led shares higher.
At the close in Lima, the S&P Lima General gained 0.07%.
The best performers of the session on the S&P Lima General were Andino Investment Holding SAA (LM:AIH), which rose 6.00% or 0.150 points to trade at 2.650 at the close. Meanwhile, Credicorp (LM:BAP) added 1.88% or 4.19 points to end at 227.59 and Southern Copper Corp (LM:SPC) was up 1.81% or 0.94 points to 52.84 in late trade.
The worst performers of the session were Candente Copper (LM:DNT), which fell 5.71% or 0.0040 points to trade at 0.0660 at the close. Minsur (LM:MINi) declined 4.49% or 0.080 points to end at 1.700 and Alicorp (LM:ALI) was down 2.40% or 0.280 points to 11.400.
Falling stocks outnumbered advancing ones on the Lima Stock Exchange by 19 to 15 and 9 ended unchanged.
Crude oil for June delivery was up 1.97% or 1.35 to $69.78 a barrel. Elsewhere in commodities trading, Brent oil for delivery in July rose 1.82% or 1.34 to hit $74.96 a barrel, while the June Gold Futures contract rose 0.22% or 2.90 to trade at $1315.60 a troy ounce.
USD/PEN was down 0.00% to 3.2729, while EUR/PEN fell 0.30% to 3.9153.
The US Dollar Index Futures was up 0.15% at 92.42.
