Investing.com – Peru stocks were higher after the close on Tuesday, as gains in the Banking & Financials, Food & Beverages and Non-Metal Minerals sectors led shares higher.
At the close in Lima, the S&P Lima General gained 0.05%.
The best performers of the session on the S&P Lima General were Andino Investment Holding SAA (LM:AIH), which rose 11.11% or 0.100 points to trade at 1.000 at the close. Meanwhile, Atacocha (LM:ATB) added 3.10% or 0.013 points to end at 0.432 and Cem Pacasmayo (LM:CPA) was up 3.04% or 0.210 points to 7.120 in late trade.
The worst performers of the session were Volcan Minera (LM:VOL_pb), which fell 3.90% or 0.030 points to trade at 0.740 at the close. Candente Copper (LM:DNT) declined 3.51% or 0.0020 points to end at 0.0550 and Unacem (LM:CEL) was down 3.36% or 0.080 points to 2.300.
Falling stocks outnumbered advancing ones on the Lima Stock Exchange by 18 to 7 and 9 ended unchanged.
Shares in Andino Investment Holding SAA (LM:AIH) rose to 52-week highs; gaining 11.11% or 0.100 to 1.000. Shares in Unacem (LM:CEL) fell to 52-week lows; falling 3.36% or 0.080 to 2.300.
Crude oil for November delivery was down 0.03% or 0.02 to $72.06 a barrel. Elsewhere in commodities trading, Brent oil for delivery in December fell 0.04% or 0.03 to hit $80.94 a barrel, while the December Gold Futures contract rose 0.11% or 1.30 to trade at $1205.70 a troy ounce.
USD/PEN was up 0.31% to 3.3055, while EUR/PEN rose 0.37% to 3.8918.
The US Dollar Index Futures was down 0.13% at 93.73.
