Investing.com – Peru stocks were higher after the close on Tuesday, as gains in the Mining, Electricity and Services sectors led shares higher.
At the close in Lima, the S&P Lima General gained 0.03%.
The best performers of the session on the S&P Lima General were Atacocha (LM:ATB), which rose 3.85% or 0.020 points to trade at 0.540 at the close. Meanwhile, Buenaventura (LM:BVN) added 2.73% or 0.420 points to end at 15.810 and Ferreyros (LM:FER) was up 1.53% or 0.040 points to 2.660 in late trade.
The worst performers of the session were Candente Copper (LM:DNT), which fell 9.33% or 0.0070 points to trade at 0.0680 at the close. Relapasa (LM:REL) declined 1.79% or 0.005 points to end at 0.275 and Unacem (LM:CEL) was down 1.72% or 0.050 points to 2.850.
Falling stocks outnumbered advancing ones on the Lima Stock Exchange by 18 to 14 and 11 ended unchanged.
Crude oil for July delivery was down 0.32% or 0.23 to $72.12 a barrel. Elsewhere in commodities trading, Brent oil for delivery in July fell 0.08% or 0.06 to hit $79.42 a barrel, while the June Gold Futures contract fell 0.03% or 0.40 to trade at $1290.50 a troy ounce.
USD/PEN was down 0.41% to 3.2685, while EUR/PEN fell 0.49% to 3.8514.
The US Dollar Index Futures was up 0.05% at 93.51.
