Investing.com – Peru stocks were higher after the close on Thursday, as gains in the Services, Electricity and Non-Metal Minerals sectors led shares higher.
At the close in Lima, the S&P Lima General rose 0.02%.
The best performers of the session on the S&P Lima General were Minera Irl (LM:IRL), which rose 5.43% or 0.01 points to trade at 0.10 at the close. Meanwhile, Bco Continenta (LM:CON) added 4.65% or 0.200 points to end at 4.500 and Inretail Peru (LM:INR) was up 2.94% or 0.600 points to 21.000 in late trade.
The worst performers of the session were Empresa Agroindustrial Pomalca (LM:POM), which fell 14.78% or 0.030 points to trade at 0.173 at the close. Panoro (LM:PML) declined 10.18% or 0.034 points to end at 0.300 and Candente Copper (LM:DNT) was down 9.23% or 0.0120 points to 0.1180.
Falling stocks outnumbered advancing ones on the Lima Stock Exchange by 20 to 14 and 9 ended unchanged.
Shares in Inretail Peru (LM:INR) rose to 3-years highs; up 2.94% or 0.600 to 21.000.
Crude oil for December delivery was up 0.49% or 0.28 to $57.09 a barrel. Elsewhere in commodities trading, Brent oil for delivery in January rose 0.58% or 0.37 to hit $63.86 a barrel, while the December Gold Futures contract rose 0.15% or 1.98 to trade at $1285.68 a troy ounce.
USD/PEN was down 0.02% to 3.2415, while EUR/PEN rose 0.49% to 3.7771.
The US Dollar Index Futures was down 0.36% at 94.43.
