- Among wireless TV parent companies, DirecTV (NYSE:T) is going to raise prices by up to $8/month within the next 10 days, while Verizon (NYSE:VZ) says it's still finalizing plans for price increases. DirecTV satellite rival Dish Network (NASDAQ:DISH) this month is boosting the price of most bundles by $5/month.
- Meanwhile, the nation's top cableco, Comcast (NASDAQ:CMCSA), expects bills will rise an average of 2.2% this year and this month many triple-play bundles will go up as much as $8.75/month.
- Charter (NASDAQ:CHTR) isn't discussing its changes though a local story in Kentucky shows $10 hikes for several packages (along with a $5 cut in one tier), and higher prices for sports channels and equipment, while privately held rival Cox is raising TV prices by up to $9.65 and Internet by up to $4.
