Investing.com – Denmark stocks were higher after the close on Friday, as gains in the Industrials, Oil & Gas and Chemicals sectors led shares higher.
At the close in Copenhagen, the OMX Copenhagen 20 gained 0.21%.
The best performers of the session on the OMX Copenhagen 20 were A.P. Moller - Maersk A (CO:MAERSKa), which rose 3.50% or 280 points to trade at 8270 at the close. Meanwhile, A.P. Moller - Maersk B (CO:MAERSKb) added 3.25% or 265 points to end at 8410 and Nordea Bank AB (CO:NDA) was up 2.60% or 1.55 points to 61.20 in late trade.
The worst performers of the session were Pandora A/S (CO:PNDORA), which fell 0.91% or 8.0 points to trade at 868.5 at the close. Novo Nordisk B (CO:NOVOb) declined 0.59% or 2.2 points to end at 367.8 and Coloplast A/S (CO:COLOb) was down 0.34% or 1.7 points to 493.4.
Rising stocks outnumbered declining ones on the Copenhagen Stock Exchange by 82 to 57 and 20 ended unchanged.
Crude oil for May delivery was up 6.55% or 2.44 to $39.70 a barrel. Elsewhere in commodities trading, Brent oil for delivery in June rose 6.24% or 2.46 to hit $41.89 a barrel, while the June Gold contract rose 0.43% or 5.30 to trade at $1242.80 a troy ounce.
USD/DKK was down 0.30% to 6.5210, while EUR/DKK rose 0.00% to 7.4412.
The US Dollar Index was down 0.34% at 94.18.
