Investing.com – Norway stocks were lower after the close on Thursday, as losses in the Consumer Durables And Apparel, Technology Hardware & Equipment and Healthcare Equipment & Services sectors led shares lower.
At the close in Oslo, the Oslo OBX declined 2.49% to hit a new 1-month low.
The best performers of the session on the Oslo OBX were Det norske oljeselskap ASA (OL:DETNOR), which fell 0.43% or 0.40 points to trade at 92.55 at the close. Meanwhile, Schibsted ASA A (OL:SBSTA) fell 0.92% or 2.2 points to end at 236.2 and Opera Software ASA (OL:OPERA) was down 0.98% or 0.65 points to 65.85 in late trade.
The worst performers of the session were REC Silicon ASA (OL:REC), which fell 9.74% or 0.15 points to trade at 1.40 at the close. Akastor ASA (OL:AKAS) declined 9.53% or 0.9 points to end at 8.7 and Petroleum Geo - Services ASA (OL:PGS) was down 9.53% or 2.08 points to 19.75.
Falling stocks outnumbered advancing ones on the Oslo Stock Exchange by 159 to 22 and 14 ended unchanged.
Crude oil for July delivery was down 3.56% or 1.71 to $46.30 a barrel. Elsewhere in commodities trading, Brent oil for delivery in August fell 3.61% or 1.77 to hit $47.20 a barrel, while the August Gold contract rose 1.61% or 20.70 to trade at $1309.00 a troy ounce.
EUR/NOK was up 0.92% to 9.4419, while USD/NOK rose 1.85% to 8.4623.
The US Dollar Index was up 0.70% at 95.33.
