Investing.com – Norway stocks were lower after the close on Thursday, as losses in the Food, Beverages & Tobacco, Commercial Service And Supplies and Diversified Financials sectors led shares lower.
At the close in Oslo, the Oslo OBX declined 2.48% to hit a new 6-months low.
The best performers of the session on the Oslo OBX were Gjensidige Forsikring ASA (OL:GJFS), which fell 0.89% or 1.2 points to trade at 134.4 at the close. Meanwhile, Aker BP ASA (OL:AKERBP) fell 1.26% or 2.80 points to end at 217.01 and Orkla ASA (OL:ORK) was down 1.46% or 1.04 points to 69.96 in late trade.
The worst performers of the session were Grieg Seafood (OL:GSFO), which fell 6.44% or 7.30 points to trade at 106.00 at the close. SalMar ASA (OL:SALM) declined 5.70% or 27.40 points to end at 453.40 and Leroy Seafood Group ASA (OL:LSG) was down 5.24% or 3.8 points to 68.0.
Falling stocks outnumbered advancing ones on the Oslo Stock Exchange by 155 to 31 and 20 ended unchanged.
Crude oil for February delivery was down 4.17% or 2.01 to $46.16 a barrel. Elsewhere in commodities trading, Brent oil for delivery in February fell 3.77% or 2.16 to hit $55.08 a barrel, while the February Gold Futures contract rose 0.53% or 6.65 to trade at $1263.05 a troy ounce.
EUR/NOK was up 0.20% to 9.9427, while USD/NOK fell 0.30% to 8.6958.
The US Dollar Index Futures was down 0.45% at 96.047.
