Investing.com – Norway stocks were lower after the close on Wednesday, as losses in the Auto & components, Diversified Financials and Transport sectors led shares lower.
At the close in Oslo, the Oslo OBX lost 2.37% to hit a new 6-months low.
The best performers of the session on the Oslo OBX were Schibsted ASA A (OL:SBSTA), which rose 1.81% or 4.4 points to trade at 246.9 at the close. Meanwhile, Orkla ASA (OL:ORK) added 0.03% or 0.02 points to end at 77.64 and Telenor ASA (OL:TEL) was down 0.11% or 0.2 points to 181.8 in late trade.
The worst performers of the session were Nel ASA (OL:NEL), which fell 9.41% or 0.650 points to trade at 6.210 at the close. Petroleum Geo - Services ASA (OL:PGS) declined 9.31% or 1.14 points to end at 11.11 and Norwegian Air Shuttle ASA (OL:NWC) was down 8.69% or 3.08 points to 32.37.
Falling stocks outnumbered advancing ones on the Oslo Stock Exchange by 193 to 29 and 18 ended unchanged.
Crude oil for September delivery was down 5.18% or 2.96 to $54.14 a barrel. Elsewhere in commodities trading, Brent oil for delivery in October fell 4.76% or 2.92 to hit $58.38 a barrel, while the December Gold Futures contract rose 1.27% or 19.25 to trade at $1533.35 a troy ounce.
EUR/NOK was up 0.79% to 9.9892, while USD/NOK rose 1.00% to 8.9624.
The US Dollar Index Futures was up 0.15% at 97.782.
