Investing.com – Norway stocks were lower after the close on Thursday, as losses in the Media, Materials and Commercial Service And Supplies sectors led shares lower.
At the close in Oslo, the Oslo OBX fell 2.27%.
The best performers of the session on the Oslo OBX were Orkla ASA (OL:ORK), which rose 0.54% or 0.45 points to trade at 83.20 at the close. Meanwhile, Yara International ASA (OL:YAR) fell 0.50% or 1.6 points to end at 321.4 and SalMar ASA (OL:SALM) was down 0.62% or 1.40 points to 223.60 in late trade.
The worst performers of the session were Seadrill Limited (OL:SDRL), which fell 7.77% or 0.40 points to trade at 4.75 at the close. Norsk Hydro ASA (OL:NHY) declined 6.32% or 3.10 points to end at 47.80 and Subsea 7 SA (OL:SUBC) was down 4.96% or 6.7 points to 128.5.
Falling stocks outnumbered advancing ones on the Oslo Stock Exchange by 157 to 26 and 23 ended unchanged.
Shares in Seadrill Limited (OL:SDRL) fell to all time lows; falling 7.77% or 0.40 to 4.75.
Crude oil for June delivery was up 0.86% or 0.42 to $49.49 a barrel. Elsewhere in commodities trading, Brent oil for delivery in July rose 0.79% or 0.41 to hit $52.62 a barrel, while the June Gold Futures contract fell 0.16% or 1.97 to trade at $1256.73 a troy ounce.
EUR/NOK was up 0.25% to 9.4033, while USD/NOK rose 0.48% to 8.4453.
The US Dollar Index Futures was up 0.09% at 97.43.
