Investing.com – Norway stocks were lower after the close on Monday, as losses in the Pharma Biotech & Life Sciences, Diversified Financials and Technology Hardware & Equipment sectors led shares lower.
At the close in Oslo, the Oslo OBX declined 2.24% to hit a new 6-months low.
The best performers of the session on the Oslo OBX were Norwegian Air Shuttle ASA (OL:NWC), which rose 5.62% or 2.20 points to trade at 41.38 at the close. Meanwhile, Telenor ASA (OL:TEL) fell 0.87% or 1.6 points to end at 182.1 and Petroleum Geo - Services ASA (OL:PGS) was down 1.06% or 0.13 points to 12.10 in late trade.
The worst performers of the session were Golden Ocean Group Ltd (OL:GOGLT), which fell 6.89% or 3.53 points to trade at 47.82 at the close. BW Offshore Ltd (OL:BWO) declined 5.53% or 2.680 points to end at 45.780 and Nel ASA (OL:NEL) was down 4.93% or 0.350 points to 6.655.
Falling stocks outnumbered advancing ones on the Oslo Stock Exchange by 195 to 19 and 20 ended unchanged.
Crude oil for September delivery was down 1.58% or 0.88 to $54.78 a barrel. Elsewhere in commodities trading, Brent oil for delivery in October fell 3.23% or 2.00 to hit $59.89 a barrel, while the December Gold Futures contract rose 1.27% or 18.50 to trade at $1476.00 a troy ounce.
EUR/NOK was up 0.97% to 9.9965, while USD/NOK rose 0.04% to 8.9180.
The US Dollar Index Futures was down 0.63% at 97.232.
