Investing.com – Norway stocks were lower after the close on Friday, as losses in the Materials, Software & Computer Services and Diversified Financials sectors led shares lower.
At the close in Oslo, the Oslo OBX declined 1.93%.
The best performers of the session on the Oslo OBX were Golden Ocean Group Ltd (OL:GOGLT), which fell 0.32% or 0.14 points to trade at 44.00 at the close. Meanwhile, Gjensidige Forsikring ASA (OL:GJFS) fell 0.80% or 1.2 points to end at 149.2 and DnB ASA (OL:DNB) was down 0.83% or 1.3 points to 154.7 in late trade.
The worst performers of the session were Norsk Hydro ASA (OL:NHY), which fell 5.66% or 2.05 points to trade at 35.23 at the close. Petroleum Geo - Services ASA (OL:PGS) declined 4.79% or 0.95 points to end at 18.86 and Norwegian Air Shuttle ASA (OL:NWC) was down 4.31% or 4.85 points to 107.65.
Falling stocks outnumbered advancing ones on the Oslo Stock Exchange by 123 to 51 and 30 ended unchanged.
Shares in Norsk Hydro ASA (OL:NHY) fell to 52-week lows; falling 5.66% or 2.05 to 35.23. Shares in Norwegian Air Shuttle ASA (OL:NWC) fell to 5-year lows; falling 4.31% or 4.85 to 107.65.
Crude oil for March delivery was down 0.15% or 0.08 to $52.56 a barrel. Elsewhere in commodities trading, Brent oil for delivery in April rose 0.31% or 0.19 to hit $61.82 a barrel, while the April Gold Futures contract rose 0.32% or 4.15 to trade at $1318.35 a troy ounce.
EUR/NOK was up 0.31% to 9.7791, while USD/NOK rose 0.42% to 8.6309.
The US Dollar Index Futures was up 0.10% at 96.382.
