Investing.com – Norway stocks were lower after the close on Thursday, as losses in the Technology Hardware & Equipment, Pharma Biotech & Life Sciences and Diversified Financials sectors led shares lower.
At the close in Oslo, the Oslo OBX declined 1.60% to hit a new 1-month low.
The best performers of the session on the Oslo OBX were TGS-NOPEC Geophysical Company ASA (OL:TGS), which rose 2.54% or 5.6 points to trade at 226.0 at the close. Meanwhile, Orkla ASA (OL:ORK) added 1.48% or 1.08 points to end at 74.16 and Marine Harvest ASA (OL:MOWI) was up 0.29% or 0.55 points to 191.80 in late trade.
The worst performers of the session were DNO International ASA (OL:DNO), which fell 7.50% or 1.34 points to trade at 16.47 at the close. Nel ASA (OL:NEL) declined 5.44% or 0.460 points to end at 8.000 and Norwegian Air Shuttle ASA (OL:NWC) was down 4.50% or 1.82 points to 38.65.
Falling stocks outnumbered advancing ones on the Oslo Stock Exchange by 157 to 52 and 22 ended unchanged.
Crude oil for June delivery was down 0.58% or 0.36 to $61.76 a barrel. Elsewhere in commodities trading, Brent oil for delivery in July fell 0.09% or 0.06 to hit $70.31 a barrel, while the June Gold Futures contract rose 0.25% or 3.25 to trade at $1284.65 a troy ounce.
EUR/NOK was up 0.29% to 9.8429, while USD/NOK rose 0.07% to 8.7754.
The US Dollar Index Futures was down 0.16% at 97.232.
