Investing.com – Norway stocks were lower after the close on Monday, as losses in the Telecoms, Food, Beverages & Tobacco and Banking sectors led shares lower.
At the close in Oslo, the Oslo OBX declined 1.59%.
The best performers of the session on the Oslo OBX were TGS-NOPEC Geophysical Company ASA (OL:TGS), which fell 0.77% or 1.1 points to trade at 142.0 at the close. Meanwhile, Schibsted ASA A (OL:SBSTA) fell 0.81% or 2.0 points to end at 244.3 and Opera Software ASA (OL:OPERA) was down 0.89% or 0.50 points to 55.50 in late trade.
The worst performers of the session were REC Silicon ASA (OL:REC), which fell 4.13% or 0.04 points to trade at 0.92 at the close. Seadrill Limited (OL:SDRL) declined 3.79% or 0.7 points to end at 16.7 and Akastor ASA (OL:AKAS) was down 3.49% or 0.3 points to 8.6.
Falling stocks outnumbered advancing ones on the Oslo Stock Exchange by 143 to 38 and 13 ended unchanged.
Crude oil for November delivery was up 3.06% or 1.36 to $45.84 a barrel. Elsewhere in commodities trading, Brent oil for delivery in December rose 2.71% or 1.26 to hit $47.74 a barrel, while the December Gold contract rose 0.13% or 1.70 to trade at $1343.40 a troy ounce.
EUR/NOK was up 0.21% to 9.1256, while USD/NOK fell 0.16% to 8.1002.
The US Dollar Index was down 0.31% at 95.11.
