Investing.com – Norway stocks were lower after the close on Tuesday, as losses in the Transport, Energy and Materials sectors led shares lower.
At the close in Oslo, the Oslo OBX declined 1.53% to hit a new 1-month low.
The best performers of the session on the Oslo OBX were Tomra Systems ASA (OL:TOM), which fell 0.08% or 0.20 points to trade at 265.60 at the close. Meanwhile, Marine Harvest ASA (OL:MOWI) fell 0.33% or 0.70 points to end at 213.10 and Telenor ASA (OL:TEL) was down 0.53% or 0.9 points to 178.2 in late trade.
The worst performers of the session were Norwegian Air Shuttle ASA (OL:NWC), which fell 7.71% or 3.34 points to trade at 40.00 at the close. Elkem ASA (OL:ELK) declined 5.19% or 1.28 points to end at 23.38 and DNO International ASA (OL:DNO) was down 4.01% or 0.61 points to 14.50.
Falling stocks outnumbered advancing ones on the Oslo Stock Exchange by 163 to 44 and 29 ended unchanged.
Crude oil for September delivery was up 0.67% or 0.38 to $57.25 a barrel. Elsewhere in commodities trading, Brent oil for delivery in October rose 0.79% or 0.50 to hit $64.12 a barrel, while the August Gold Futures contract rose 0.63% or 9.00 to trade at $1429.40 a troy ounce.
EUR/NOK was up 0.74% to 9.7610, while USD/NOK rose 0.68% to 8.7535.
The US Dollar Index Futures was up 0.05% at 97.845.
