Investing.com – Norway stocks were lower after the close on Friday, as losses in the Media, Insurance and Banking sectors led shares lower.
At the close in Oslo, the Oslo OBX declined 1.47%.
The best performers of the session on the Oslo OBX were Det norske oljeselskap ASA (OL:DETNOR), which rose 7.76% or 6.50 points to trade at 90.30 at the close. Meanwhile, TGS-NOPEC Geophysical Company ASA (OL:TGS) added 0.77% or 1.0 points to end at 130.5 and DNO International ASA (OL:DNO) was up 0.31% or 0.03 points to 9.63 in late trade.
The worst performers of the session were REC Silicon ASA (OL:REC), which fell 6.43% or 0.11 points to trade at 1.60 at the close. Seadrill Limited (OL:SDRL) declined 4.03% or 1.1 points to end at 27.1 and Schibsted ASA A (OL:SBSTA) was down 3.75% or 9.4 points to 241.0.
Falling stocks outnumbered advancing ones on the Oslo Stock Exchange by 122 to 42 and 26 ended unchanged.
Shares in Det norske oljeselskap ASA (OL:DETNOR) rose to 3-years highs; gaining 7.76% or 6.50 to 90.30.
Crude oil for July delivery was down 2.18% or 1.10 to $49.46 a barrel. Elsewhere in commodities trading, Brent oil for delivery in August fell 2.21% or 1.15 to hit $50.80 a barrel, while the August Gold contract rose 0.07% or 0.95 to trade at $1273.65 a troy ounce.
EUR/NOK was up 0.62% to 9.2875, while USD/NOK rose 0.94% to 8.2316.
The US Dollar Index was up 0.30% at 94.38.
