Investing.com – Norway stocks were lower after the close on Wednesday, as losses in the Materials, Auto & components and Energy sectors led shares lower.
At the close in Oslo, the Oslo OBX lost 1.35%.
The best performers of the session on the Oslo OBX were BW LPG Ltd (OL:BWLPG), which rose 3.22% or 1.07 points to trade at 34.32 at the close. Meanwhile, Telenor ASA (OL:TEL) added 1.68% or 2.3 points to end at 139.5 and SalMar ASA (OL:SALM) was up 1.60% or 3.60 points to 228.70 in late trade.
The worst performers of the session were Petroleum Geo - Services ASA (OL:PGS), which fell 7.39% or 1.45 points to trade at 18.14 at the close. Subsea 7 SA (OL:SUBC) declined 5.67% or 7.3 points to end at 125.0 and TGS-NOPEC Geophysical Company ASA (OL:TGS) was down 4.61% or 8.5 points to 176.0.
Falling stocks outnumbered advancing ones on the Oslo Stock Exchange by 109 to 70 and 21 ended unchanged.
Crude oil for July delivery was down 2.72% or 1.35 to $48.31 a barrel. Elsewhere in commodities trading, Brent oil for delivery in August fell 2.76% or 1.44 to hit $50.80 a barrel, while the June Gold Futures contract rose 0.42% or 5.28 to trade at $1267.38 a troy ounce.
EUR/NOK was up 0.53% to 9.4837, while USD/NOK rose 0.08% to 8.4405.
The US Dollar Index Futures was down 0.32% at 96.91.
