Investing.com – Norway stocks were lower after the close on Wednesday, as losses in the Healthcare Equipment & Services, Media and Insurance sectors led shares lower.
At the close in Oslo, the Oslo OBX lost 1.35%.
The best performers of the session on the Oslo OBX were BW LPG Ltd (OL:BWLPG), which rose 1.62% or 0.68 points to trade at 42.55 at the close. Meanwhile, Seadrill Limited (OL:SDRL) added 0.09% or 0.01 points to end at 11.70 and Aker BP ASA (OL:AKERBP) was down 0.28% or 0.40 points to 140.40 in late trade.
The worst performers of the session were DNO International ASA (OL:DNO), which fell 4.31% or 0.31 points to trade at 6.88 at the close. Storebrand ASA (OL:STB) declined 3.13% or 1.85 points to end at 57.35 and Schibsted ASA B (OL:SBSTB) was down 2.70% or 5.50 points to 198.50.
Falling stocks outnumbered advancing ones on the Oslo Stock Exchange by 145 to 50 and 11 ended unchanged.
Crude oil for May delivery was down 0.85% or 0.41 to $47.83 a barrel. Elsewhere in commodities trading, Brent oil for delivery in May fell 1.00% or 0.51 to hit $50.45 a barrel, while the April Gold Futures contract rose 0.20% or 2.55 to trade at $1249.05 a troy ounce.
EUR/NOK was up 0.11% to 9.1613, while USD/NOK rose 0.12% to 8.4750.
The US Dollar Index Futures was down 0.13% at 99.42.
