Investing.com – Norway stocks were lower after the close on Monday, as losses in the Pharma Biotech & Life Sciences, Auto & components and Energy sectors led shares lower.
At the close in Oslo, the Oslo OBX declined 1.23%.
The best performers of the session on the Oslo OBX were Nel ASA (OL:NEL), which rose 3.97% or 0.230 points to trade at 5.895 at the close. Meanwhile, Schibsted ASA A (OL:SBSTA) added 0.89% or 2.7 points to end at 306.8 and Orkla ASA (OL:ORK) was up 0.85% or 0.58 points to 68.70 in late trade.
The worst performers of the session were Golden Ocean Group Ltd (OL:GOGLT), which fell 12.50% or 6.46 points to trade at 45.58 at the close. Petroleum Geo - Services ASA (OL:PGS) declined 4.63% or 0.79 points to end at 16.16 and Norsk Hydro ASA (OL:NHY) was down 4.31% or 1.71 points to 37.95.
Falling stocks outnumbered advancing ones on the Oslo Stock Exchange by 118 to 65 and 24 ended unchanged.
Shares in Nel ASA (OL:NEL) rose to 5-year highs; gaining 3.97% or 0.230 to 5.895. Shares in Golden Ocean Group Ltd (OL:GOGLT) fell to 52-week lows; falling 12.50% or 6.46 to 45.58. Shares in Norsk Hydro ASA (OL:NHY) fell to 52-week lows; down 4.31% or 1.71 to 37.95.
Crude oil for March delivery was down 3.73% or 2.00 to $51.69 a barrel. Elsewhere in commodities trading, Brent oil for delivery in April fell 3.13% or 1.93 to hit $59.66 a barrel, while the February Gold Futures contract rose 0.37% or 4.75 to trade at $1302.85 a troy ounce.
EUR/NOK was up 0.31% to 9.7342, while USD/NOK rose 0.05% to 8.5122.
The US Dollar Index Futures was down 0.12% at 95.350.
