Investing.com – Norway stocks were lower after the close on Thursday, as losses in the Banking, Energy and Healthcare Equipment & Services sectors led shares lower.
At the close in Oslo, the Oslo OBX lost 1.06% to hit a new 1-month low.
The best performers of the session on the Oslo OBX were Nordic Nanovector ASA (OL:NANOV), which rose 2.13% or 1.80 points to trade at 86.25 at the close. Meanwhile, Golden Ocean Group Ltd (OL:GOGLT) added 1.89% or 1.00 points to end at 53.85 and BW LPG Ltd (OL:BWLPG) was up 1.01% or 0.28 points to 28.08 in late trade.
The worst performers of the session were Petroleum Geo - Services ASA (OL:PGS), which fell 5.62% or 0.82 points to trade at 13.77 at the close. Subsea 7 SA (OL:SUBC) declined 4.38% or 4.9 points to end at 107.0 and Aker Solutions OL (OL:AKSOL) was down 3.86% or 1.44 points to 35.87.
Falling stocks outnumbered advancing ones on the Oslo Stock Exchange by 102 to 69 and 26 ended unchanged.
Shares in Petroleum Geo - Services ASA (OL:PGS) fell to 5-year lows; falling 5.62% or 0.82 to 13.77.
Crude oil for August delivery was up 1.39% or 0.59 to $43.12 a barrel. Elsewhere in commodities trading, Brent oil for delivery in August rose 1.65% or 0.74 to hit $45.56 a barrel, while the August Gold Futures contract rose 0.51% or 6.37 to trade at $1252.17 a troy ounce.
EUR/NOK was down 0.54% to 9.4754, while USD/NOK fell 0.37% to 8.4994.
The US Dollar Index Futures was up 0.08% at 97.30.
