Investing.com – Norway stocks were lower after the close on Tuesday, as losses in the Pharma Biotech & Life Sciences, Technology Hardware & Equipment and Energy sectors led shares lower.
At the close in Oslo, the Oslo OBX fell 1.04%.
The best performers of the session on the Oslo OBX were Yara International ASA (OL:YAR), which rose 0.51% or 2.0 points to trade at 394.5 at the close. Meanwhile, Marine Harvest ASA (OL:MOWI) added 0.05% or 0.10 points to end at 218.10 and Gjensidige Forsikring ASA (OL:GJFS) was down 0.09% or 0.1 points to 175.4 in late trade.
The worst performers of the session were Norwegian Air Shuttle ASA (OL:NWC), which fell 7.91% or 2.77 points to trade at 32.27 at the close. Petroleum Geo - Services ASA (OL:PGS) declined 5.06% or 0.55 points to end at 10.31 and BW Offshore Ltd (OL:BWO) was down 3.68% or 2.300 points to 60.200.
Falling stocks outnumbered advancing ones on the Oslo Stock Exchange by 150 to 59 and 26 ended unchanged.
Shares in Petroleum Geo - Services ASA (OL:PGS) fell to 5-year lows; down 5.06% or 0.55 to 10.31.
Crude oil for October delivery was down 2.81% or 1.55 to $53.55 a barrel. Elsewhere in commodities trading, Brent oil for delivery in November fell 1.40% or 0.82 to hit $57.84 a barrel, while the December Gold Futures contract rose 1.75% or 26.75 to trade at $1556.15 a troy ounce.
EUR/NOK was up 0.06% to 9.9855, while USD/NOK rose 0.03% to 9.1031.
The US Dollar Index Futures was up 0.05% at 98.905.
