Investing.com – Norway stocks were lower after the close on Tuesday, as losses in the Materials, Energy and Diversified Financials sectors led shares lower.
At the close in Oslo, the Oslo OBX lost 1.00%.
The best performers of the session on the Oslo OBX were SalMar ASA (OL:SALM), which rose 2.05% or 8.90 points to trade at 443.60 at the close. Meanwhile, Norwegian Air Shuttle ASA (OL:NWC) added 1.58% or 0.71 points to end at 45.71 and Telenor ASA (OL:TEL) was up 1.29% or 2.4 points to 184.3 in late trade.
The worst performers of the session were Petroleum Geo - Services ASA (OL:PGS), which fell 13.85% or 1.99 points to trade at 12.35 at the close. Nel ASA (OL:NEL) declined 6.43% or 0.470 points to end at 6.765 and Subsea 7 SA (OL:SUBC) was down 6.16% or 6.2 points to 95.2.
Falling stocks outnumbered advancing ones on the Oslo Stock Exchange by 128 to 67 and 29 ended unchanged.
Crude oil for August delivery was up 0.42% or 0.24 to $57.90 a barrel. Elsewhere in commodities trading, Brent oil for delivery in September rose 0.25% or 0.16 to hit $64.27 a barrel, while the August Gold Futures contract fell 0.06% or 0.85 to trade at $1399.15 a troy ounce.
EUR/NOK was up 0.02% to 9.6920, while USD/NOK rose 0.05% to 8.6463.
The US Dollar Index Futures was up 0.11% at 97.093.
