Investing.com – Norway stocks were lower after the close on Tuesday, as losses in the Auto & components, Materials and Energy sectors led shares lower.
At the close in Oslo, the Oslo OBX fell 0.99%.
The best performers of the session on the Oslo OBX were Gjensidige Forsikring ASA (OL:GJFS), which rose 2.74% or 3.8 points to trade at 142.4 at the close. Meanwhile, Norwegian Air Shuttle ASA (OL:NWC) added 0.96% or 1.70 points to end at 179.40 and Orkla ASA (OL:ORK) was up 0.62% or 0.44 points to 70.92 in late trade.
The worst performers of the session were Golden Ocean Group Ltd (OL:GOGLT), which fell 4.86% or 2.70 points to trade at 52.80 at the close. Petroleum Geo - Services ASA (OL:PGS) declined 3.54% or 0.67 points to end at 18.11 and BW Offshore Ltd (OL:BWO) was down 3.29% or 1.350 points to 39.650.
Falling stocks outnumbered advancing ones on the Oslo Stock Exchange by 123 to 60 and 23 ended unchanged.
Crude oil for March delivery was down 2.83% or 1.53 to $52.51 a barrel. Elsewhere in commodities trading, Brent oil for delivery in March fell 2.85% or 1.79 to hit $60.95 a barrel, while the February Gold Futures contract rose 0.03% or 0.35 to trade at $1282.95 a troy ounce.
EUR/NOK was up 0.45% to 9.7705, while USD/NOK rose 0.44% to 8.5985.
The US Dollar Index Futures was down 0.04% at 95.958.
