Investing.com – Norway stocks were lower after the close on Tuesday, as losses in the Healthcare Equipment & Services, Technology Hardware & Equipment and Auto & components sectors led shares lower.
At the close in Oslo, the Oslo OBX fell 0.98% to hit a new 1-month low.
The best performers of the session on the Oslo OBX were Opera Software ASA (OL:OPERA), which rose 0.94% or 0.50 points to trade at 53.75 at the close. Meanwhile, Telenor ASA (OL:TEL) fell 0.14% or 0.2 points to end at 141.6 and Norwegian Air Shuttle ASA (OL:NWC) was down 0.23% or 0.7 points to 301.5 in late trade.
The worst performers of the session were Golden Ocean Group Ltd (OL:GOGLT), which fell 6.40% or 2.20 points to trade at 32.20 at the close. Petroleum Geo - Services ASA (OL:PGS) declined 5.74% or 1.01 points to end at 16.60 and Akastor ASA (OL:AKAS) was down 5.46% or 0.4 points to 7.6.
Falling stocks outnumbered advancing ones on the Oslo Stock Exchange by 130 to 49 and 17 ended unchanged.
Crude oil for October delivery was down 2.89% or 1.34 to $44.95 a barrel. Elsewhere in commodities trading, Brent oil for delivery in November fell 2.38% or 1.15 to hit $47.17 a barrel, while the December Gold contract rose 0.15% or 2.05 to trade at $1327.65 a troy ounce.
EUR/NOK was up 0.27% to 9.2795, while USD/NOK rose 0.19% to 8.2528.
The US Dollar Index was up 0.24% at 95.35.
