Investing.com – Norway stocks were lower after the close on Wednesday, as losses in the Diversified Financials, Materials and Auto & components sectors led shares lower.
At the close in Oslo, the Oslo OBX lost 0.97% to hit a new 6-months low.
The best performers of the session on the Oslo OBX were Tomra Systems ASA (OL:TOM), which rose 1.24% or 3.20 points to trade at 261.80 at the close. Meanwhile, Orkla ASA (OL:ORK) added 1.03% or 0.78 points to end at 76.44 and Schibsted ASA A (OL:SBSTA) was up 0.76% or 1.8 points to 240.0 in late trade.
The worst performers of the session were BW Offshore Ltd (OL:BWO), which fell 5.44% or 2.520 points to trade at 43.820 at the close. DNO International ASA (OL:DNO) declined 4.99% or 0.67 points to end at 12.76 and TGS-NOPEC Geophysical Company ASA (OL:TGS) was down 4.10% or 8.6 points to 199.9.
Falling stocks outnumbered advancing ones on the Oslo Stock Exchange by 145 to 64 and 27 ended unchanged.
Crude oil for September delivery was down 4.55% or 2.44 to $51.19 a barrel. Elsewhere in commodities trading, Brent oil for delivery in October fell 4.34% or 2.56 to hit $56.38 a barrel, while the December Gold Futures contract rose 2.07% or 30.75 to trade at $1514.95 a troy ounce.
EUR/NOK was up 0.97% to 10.0684, while USD/NOK rose 0.73% to 8.9694.
The US Dollar Index Futures was down 0.16% at 97.257.
