Investing.com – Norway stocks were lower after the close on Monday, as losses in the Auto & components, Technology Hardware & Equipment and Pharma Biotech & Life Sciences sectors led shares lower.
At the close in Oslo, the Oslo OBX fell 0.93%.
The best performers of the session on the Oslo OBX were Gjensidige Forsikring ASA (OL:GJFS), which rose 0.69% or 1.1 points to trade at 159.5 at the close. Meanwhile, SalMar ASA (OL:SALM) added 0.10% or 0.40 points to end at 410.00 and Norwegian Air Shuttle ASA (OL:NWC) was unchanged 0.00% or 0.00 points to 48.10 in late trade.
The worst performers of the session were Petroleum Geo - Services ASA (OL:PGS), which fell 4.99% or 1.01 points to trade at 19.25 at the close. Golden Ocean Group Ltd (OL:GOGLT) declined 4.83% or 2.14 points to end at 42.18 and BW Offshore Ltd (OL:BWO) was down 3.22% or 1.450 points to 43.600.
Falling stocks outnumbered advancing ones on the Oslo Stock Exchange by 163 to 44 and 30 ended unchanged.
Crude oil for May delivery was down 0.08% or 0.05 to $58.99 a barrel. Elsewhere in commodities trading, Brent oil for delivery in June rose 0.33% or 0.22 to hit $66.97 a barrel, while the June Gold Futures contract rose 0.80% or 10.55 to trade at $1329.25 a troy ounce.
EUR/NOK was down 0.28% to 9.6609, while USD/NOK fell 0.20% to 8.5363.
The US Dollar Index Futures was down 0.15% at 96.007.
