Investing.com – Norway stocks were lower after the close on Tuesday, as losses in the Media, Healthcare Equipment & Services and Energy sectors led shares lower.
At the close in Oslo, the Oslo OBX fell 0.79%.
The best performers of the session on the Oslo OBX were REC Silicon ASA (OL:REC), which rose 6.28% or 0.06 points to trade at 0.97 at the close. Meanwhile, Orkla ASA (OL:ORK) added 1.16% or 0.95 points to end at 82.80 and Opera Software ASA (OL:OPERA) was up 0.45% or 0.25 points to 55.75 in late trade.
The worst performers of the session were Golden Ocean Group Ltd (OL:GOGLT), which fell 5.44% or 1.90 points to trade at 33.00 at the close. Petroleum Geo - Services ASA (OL:PGS) declined 5.02% or 0.85 points to end at 16.08 and Seadrill Limited (OL:SDRL) was down 4.42% or 0.7 points to 16.0.
Falling stocks outnumbered advancing ones on the Oslo Stock Exchange by 112 to 60 and 20 ended unchanged.
Shares in Orkla ASA (OL:ORK) rose to 5-year highs; up 1.16% or 0.95 to 82.80.
Crude oil for November delivery was down 3.59% or 1.65 to $44.28 a barrel. Elsewhere in commodities trading, Brent oil for delivery in December fell 3.57% or 1.71 to hit $46.22 a barrel, while the December Gold contract fell 1.03% or 13.85 to trade at $1330.25 a troy ounce.
EUR/NOK was up 0.14% to 9.1381, while USD/NOK rose 0.57% to 8.1542.
The US Dollar Index was up 0.29% at 95.49.
