Investing.com – Norway stocks were lower after the close on Thursday, as losses in the Utilities, Energy and Commercial Service And Supplies sectors led shares lower.
At the close in Oslo, the Oslo OBX declined 0.76%.
The best performers of the session on the Oslo OBX were Norwegian Air Shuttle ASA (OL:NWC), which rose 4.30% or 8.55 points to trade at 207.60 at the close. Meanwhile, Golden Ocean Group Ltd (OL:GOGLT) added 4.25% or 2.55 points to end at 62.44 and Norwegian Finans Holding ASA (OL:NOFI) was up 1.34% or 0.90 points to 67.90 in late trade.
The worst performers of the session were Petroleum Geo - Services ASA (OL:PGS), which fell 5.79% or 0.89 points to trade at 14.50 at the close. Aker BP ASA (OL:AKERBP) declined 2.84% or 7.00 points to end at 241.96 and Subsea 7 SA (OL:SUBC) was down 2.75% or 2.4 points to 85.5.
Falling stocks outnumbered advancing ones on the Oslo Stock Exchange by 110 to 74 and 19 ended unchanged.
Shares in Petroleum Geo - Services ASA (OL:PGS) fell to 52-week lows; down 5.79% or 0.89 to 14.50. Shares in Subsea 7 SA (OL:SUBC) fell to 52-week lows; down 2.75% or 2.4 to 85.5.
Crude oil for January delivery was up 1.45% or 0.74 to $51.89 a barrel. Elsewhere in commodities trading, Brent oil for delivery in February rose 0.85% or 0.51 to hit $60.66 a barrel, while the February Gold Futures contract fell 0.20% or 2.45 to trade at $1247.55 a troy ounce.
EUR/NOK was down 0.12% to 9.7325, while USD/NOK fell 0.05% to 8.5667.
The US Dollar Index Futures was up 0.09% at 97.102.
