Investing.com – Norway stocks were lower after the close on Wednesday, as losses in the Materials, Banking and Utilities sectors led shares lower.
At the close in Oslo, the Oslo OBX declined 0.74%.
The best performers of the session on the Oslo OBX were SalMar ASA (OL:SALM), which rose 1.78% or 7.80 points to trade at 446.00 at the close. Meanwhile, REC Silicon ASA (OL:REC) added 1.35% or 0.01 points to end at 0.64 and Orkla ASA (OL:ORK) was up 1.18% or 0.82 points to 70.14 in late trade.
The worst performers of the session were Norsk Hydro ASA (OL:NHY), which fell 11.85% or 5.83 points to trade at 49.41 at the close. Petroleum Geo - Services ASA (OL:PGS) declined 2.00% or 0.75 points to end at 36.75 and DnB ASA (OL:DNB) was down 1.83% or 3.1 points to 166.2.
Falling stocks outnumbered advancing ones on the Oslo Stock Exchange by 103 to 80 and 26 ended unchanged.
Shares in SalMar ASA (OL:SALM) rose to all time highs; rising 1.78% or 7.80 to 446.00.
Crude oil for November delivery was up 0.39% or 0.29 to $75.52 a barrel. Elsewhere in commodities trading, Brent oil for delivery in December rose 0.65% or 0.55 to hit $85.35 a barrel, while the December Gold Futures contract fell 0.27% or 3.30 to trade at $1203.70 a troy ounce.
EUR/NOK was up 0.12% to 9.4498, while USD/NOK rose 0.29% to 8.1982.
The US Dollar Index Futures was up 0.20% at 95.32.
