Investing.com – Norway stocks were lower after the close on Wednesday, as losses in the Energy, Pharma Biotech & Life Sciences and Technology Hardware & Equipment sectors led shares lower.
At the close in Oslo, the Oslo OBX declined 0.70%.
The best performers of the session on the Oslo OBX were Petroleum Geo - Services ASA (OL:PGS), which rose 2.60% or 0.52 points to trade at 20.46 at the close. Meanwhile, Norwegian Air Shuttle ASA (OL:NWC) added 2.37% or 2.95 points to end at 127.65 and Grieg Seafood (OL:GSFO) was up 2.06% or 2.20 points to 108.90 in late trade.
The worst performers of the session were Orkla ASA (OL:ORK), which fell 2.85% or 1.98 points to trade at 67.56 at the close. Aker BP ASA (OL:AKERBP) declined 2.55% or 7.40 points to end at 282.80 and Norsk Hydro ASA (OL:NHY) was down 2.09% or 0.82 points to 38.38.
Falling stocks outnumbered advancing ones on the Oslo Stock Exchange by 88 to 83 and 34 ended unchanged.
Crude oil for March delivery was up 0.84% or 0.45 to $54.11 a barrel. Elsewhere in commodities trading, Brent oil for delivery in April rose 1.16% or 0.72 to hit $62.70 a barrel, while the April Gold Futures contract fell 0.22% or 2.85 to trade at $1316.35 a troy ounce.
EUR/NOK was up 0.23% to 9.7034, while USD/NOK rose 0.51% to 8.5262.
The US Dollar Index Futures was up 0.19% at 95.998.
