Investing.com – Norway stocks were lower after the close on Wednesday, as losses in the Pharma Biotech & Life Sciences, Energy and Food, Beverages & Tobacco sectors led shares lower.
At the close in Oslo, the Oslo OBX declined 0.69%.
The best performers of the session on the Oslo OBX were Petroleum Geo - Services ASA (OL:PGS), which rose 3.41% or 1.21 points to trade at 36.66 at the close. Meanwhile, DNO International ASA (OL:DNO) added 2.93% or 0.48 points to end at 16.68 and Golden Ocean Group Ltd (OL:GOGLT) was up 2.15% or 1.65 points to 78.35 in late trade.
The worst performers of the session were REC Silicon ASA (OL:REC), which fell 3.21% or 0.02 points to trade at 0.65 at the close. Grieg Seafood (OL:GSFO) declined 1.81% or 2.00 points to end at 108.30 and Leroy Seafood Group ASA (OL:LSG) was down 1.47% or 1.0 points to 67.0.
Falling stocks outnumbered advancing ones on the Oslo Stock Exchange by 101 to 81 and 25 ended unchanged.
Crude oil for November delivery was down 0.62% or 0.45 to $71.83 a barrel. Elsewhere in commodities trading, Brent oil for delivery in December fell 0.30% or 0.24 to hit $81.02 a barrel, while the December Gold Futures contract fell 0.51% or 6.10 to trade at $1199.00 a troy ounce.
EUR/NOK was down 0.36% to 9.5309, while USD/NOK fell 0.25% to 8.1090.
The US Dollar Index Futures was up 0.09% at 93.81.
