Investing.com – Norway stocks were lower after the close on Tuesday, as losses in the Banking, Consumer Durables And Apparel and Healthcare Equipment & Services sectors led shares lower.
At the close in Oslo, the Oslo OBX lost 0.67%.
The best performers of the session on the Oslo OBX were Seadrill Limited (OL:SDRL), which rose 4.39% or 1.1 points to trade at 26.9 at the close. Meanwhile, Det norske oljeselskap ASA (OL:DETNOR) added 3.14% or 3.30 points to end at 108.30 and Subsea 7 SA (OL:SUBC) was up 2.25% or 1.9 points to 86.2 in late trade.
The worst performers of the session were Opera Software ASA (OL:OPERA), which fell 10.00% or 6.75 points to trade at 60.75 at the close. DnB ASA (OL:DNB) declined 7.57% or 7.7 points to end at 94.0 and REC Silicon ASA (OL:REC) was down 6.56% or 0.11 points to 1.62.
Falling stocks outnumbered advancing ones on the Oslo Stock Exchange by 85 to 82 and 24 ended unchanged.
Shares in Det norske oljeselskap ASA (OL:DETNOR) rose to all time highs; gaining 3.14% or 3.30 to 108.30. Shares in Subsea 7 SA (OL:SUBC) rose to 52-week highs; gaining 2.25% or 1.9 to 86.2.
Crude oil for August delivery was up 4.04% or 1.81 to $46.57 a barrel. Elsewhere in commodities trading, Brent oil for delivery in September rose 4.26% or 1.97 to hit $48.22 a barrel, while the August Gold contract fell 1.43% or 19.45 to trade at $1337.15 a troy ounce.
EUR/NOK was down 0.92% to 9.3192, while USD/NOK fell 1.06% to 8.4154.
The US Dollar Index was down 0.12% at 96.46.
