Investing.com – Norway stocks were lower after the close on Monday, as losses in the Telecoms, Food, Beverages & Tobacco and Banking sectors led shares lower.
At the close in Oslo, the Oslo OBX fell 0.65%.
The best performers of the session on the Oslo OBX were Golden Ocean Group Ltd (OL:GOGLT), which rose 7.08% or 0.40 points to trade at 6.05 at the close. Meanwhile, Fred. Olsen Energy ASA (OL:FOE) added 2.43% or 0.6 points to end at 25.3 and Petroleum Geo - Services ASA (OL:PGS) was up 1.42% or 0.27 points to 19.33 in late trade.
The worst performers of the session were Akastor ASA (OL:AKAS), which fell 3.54% or 0.3 points to trade at 9.3 at the close. Marine Harvest ASA (OL:MHG) declined 1.89% or 2.70 points to end at 140.30 and Telenor ASA (OL:TEL) was down 1.83% or 2.6 points to 139.1.
Falling stocks outnumbered advancing ones on the Oslo Stock Exchange by 86 to 81 and 19 ended unchanged.
Crude oil for August delivery was down 0.27% or 0.13 to $48.86 a barrel. Elsewhere in commodities trading, Brent oil for delivery in September fell 0.36% or 0.18 to hit $50.17 a barrel, while the August Gold contract rose 1.07% or 14.35 to trade at $1353.35 a troy ounce.
EUR/NOK was down 0.33% to 9.2502, while USD/NOK fell 0.43% to 8.2995.
The US Dollar Index was down 0.10% at 95.62.
