Investing.com – Norway stocks were lower after the close on Friday, as losses in the Materials, Transport and Auto & components sectors led shares lower.
At the close in Oslo, the Oslo OBX lost 0.65%.
The best performers of the session on the Oslo OBX were BW Offshore Ltd (OL:BWO), which rose 1.64% or 0.720 points to trade at 44.520 at the close. Meanwhile, Orkla ASA (OL:ORK) added 1.42% or 1.10 points to end at 78.34 and Aker BP ASA (OL:AKERBP) was up 1.14% or 2.60 points to 229.80 in late trade.
The worst performers of the session were Elkem ASA (OL:ELK), which fell 3.89% or 0.88 points to trade at 21.76 at the close. Norwegian Air Shuttle ASA (OL:NWC) declined 3.00% or 1.18 points to end at 38.10 and Nel ASA (OL:NEL) was down 2.03% or 0.140 points to 6.750.
Falling stocks outnumbered advancing ones on the Oslo Stock Exchange by 124 to 76 and 31 ended unchanged.
Crude oil for September delivery was up 3.79% or 1.99 to $54.53 a barrel. Elsewhere in commodities trading, Brent oil for delivery in October rose 2.28% or 1.31 to hit $58.69 a barrel, while the December Gold Futures contract fell 0.10% or 1.45 to trade at $1508.05 a troy ounce.
EUR/NOK was down 0.20% to 9.9572, while USD/NOK fell 0.45% to 8.8856.
The US Dollar Index Futures was down 0.13% at 97.312.
