Investing.com – Norway stocks were lower after the close on Monday, as losses in the Healthcare Equipment & Services, Energy and Consumer Durables And Apparel sectors led shares lower.
At the close in Oslo, the Oslo OBX lost 0.61%.
The best performers of the session on the Oslo OBX were Bw Lpg (OL:BWLPG), which rose 4.29% or 1.32 points to trade at 32.10 at the close. Meanwhile, Schibsted ASA A (OL:SBSTA) added 2.24% or 5.6 points to end at 255.8 and Gjensidige Forsikring ASA (OL:GJFS) was up 1.91% or 2.6 points to 138.9 in late trade.
The worst performers of the session were Opera Software ASA (OL:OPERA), which fell 10.00% or 6.00 points to trade at 54.00 at the close. Fred. Olsen Energy ASA (OL:FOE) declined 6.59% or 1.2 points to end at 17.0 and REC Silicon ASA (OL:REC) was down 5.52% or 0.10 points to 1.66.
Falling stocks outnumbered advancing ones on the Oslo Stock Exchange by 86 to 77 and 29 ended unchanged.
Shares in Fred. Olsen Energy ASA (OL:FOE) fell to 5-year lows; losing 6.59% or 1.2 to 17.0.
Crude oil for September delivery was down 1.50% or 0.70 to $45.95 a barrel. Elsewhere in commodities trading, Brent oil for delivery in September fell 1.39% or 0.66 to hit $46.95 a barrel, while the August Gold contract rose 0.03% or 0.35 to trade at $1327.75 a troy ounce.
EUR/NOK was down 0.01% to 9.3601, while USD/NOK fell 0.44% to 8.4500.
The US Dollar Index was down 0.20% at 96.51.
