Investing.com – Norway stocks were lower after the close on Friday, as losses in the Telecoms, Materials and Banking sectors led shares lower.
At the close in Oslo, the Oslo OBX declined 0.59%.
The best performers of the session on the Oslo OBX were Petroleum Geo - Services ASA (OL:PGS), which rose 1.83% or 0.30 points to trade at 16.65 at the close. Meanwhile, Norwegian Finans Holding ASA (OL:NOFI) added 1.10% or 1.00 points to end at 92.00 and Schibsted ASA A (OL:SBSTA) was up 0.64% or 1.5 points to 234.6 in late trade.
The worst performers of the session were Norwegian Air Shuttle ASA (OL:NWC), which fell 2.22% or 4.0 points to trade at 176.0 at the close. Aker Solutions OL (OL:AKSOL) declined 1.91% or 0.90 points to end at 46.19 and BW LPG Ltd (OL:BWLPG) was down 1.35% or 0.53 points to 38.64.
Rising stocks outnumbered declining ones on the Oslo Stock Exchange by 99 to 88 and 25 ended unchanged.
Crude oil for February delivery was up 0.65% or 0.39 to $60.23 a barrel. Elsewhere in commodities trading, Brent oil for delivery in March rose 0.83% or 0.55 to hit $66.71 a barrel, while the February Gold Futures contract rose 0.69% or 9.00 to trade at $1306.20 a troy ounce.
EUR/NOK was down 0.24% to 9.8377, while USD/NOK fell 0.77% to 8.1849.
The US Dollar Index Futures was down 0.54% at 91.84.
