Investing.com – Norway stocks were lower after the close on Friday, as losses in the Media, Telecoms and Healthcare Equipment & Services sectors led shares lower.
At the close in Oslo, the Oslo OBX lost 0.48%.
The best performers of the session on the Oslo OBX were Det norske oljeselskap ASA (OL:DETNOR), which rose 5.49% or 4.25 points to trade at 81.60 at the close. Meanwhile, DNO International ASA (OL:DNO) added 4.00% or 0.34 points to end at 8.85 and Seadrill Limited (OL:SDRL) was up 0.74% or 0.2 points to 26.0 in late trade.
The worst performers of the session were REC Silicon ASA (OL:REC), which fell 5.91% or 0.11 points to trade at 1.78 at the close. Fred. Olsen Energy ASA (OL:FOE) declined 4.23% or 1.4 points to end at 31.7 and Akastor ASA (OL:AKAS) was down 2.67% or 0.2 points to 9.1.
Falling stocks outnumbered advancing ones on the Oslo Stock Exchange by 100 to 72 and 19 ended unchanged.
Shares in Det norske oljeselskap ASA (OL:DETNOR) rose to 52-week highs; gaining 5.49% or 4.25 to 81.60.
Crude oil for July delivery was down 0.89% or 0.44 to $48.73 a barrel. Elsewhere in commodities trading, Brent oil for delivery in August fell 0.72% or 0.36 to hit $49.68 a barrel, while the August Gold contract rose 2.45% or 29.75 to trade at $1242.35 a troy ounce.
EUR/NOK was up 0.01% to 9.2956, while USD/NOK fell 1.59% to 8.2006.
The US Dollar Index was down 1.52% at 94.11.
