Investing.com – Norway stocks were lower after the close on Wednesday, as losses in the Healthcare Equipment & Services, Food, Beverages & Tobacco and Transport sectors led shares lower.
At the close in Oslo, the Oslo OBX lost 0.48%.
The best performers of the session on the Oslo OBX were Petroleum Geo - Services ASA (OL:PGS), which rose 5.41% or 1.12 points to trade at 21.82 at the close. Meanwhile, Golden Ocean Group Ltd (OL:GOGLT) added 4.96% or 2.14 points to end at 45.32 and Norsk Hydro ASA (OL:NHY) was up 1.41% or 0.50 points to 36.08 in late trade.
The worst performers of the session were Norwegian Air Shuttle ASA (OL:NWC), which fell 9.75% or 5.48 points to trade at 50.68 at the close. P/f Bakkafrost (OL:BAKKA) declined 1.80% or 8.00 points to end at 435.40 and Leroy Seafood Group ASA (OL:LSG) was down 1.76% or 1.12 points to 62.50.
Falling stocks outnumbered advancing ones on the Oslo Stock Exchange by 106 to 98 and 34 ended unchanged.
Shares in Norwegian Air Shuttle ASA (OL:NWC) fell to 5-year lows; down 9.75% or 5.48 to 50.68.
Crude oil for May delivery was up 1.05% or 0.62 to $59.91 a barrel. Elsewhere in commodities trading, Brent oil for delivery in May rose 0.86% or 0.58 to hit $68.19 a barrel, while the April Gold Futures contract rose 0.47% or 6.15 to trade at $1312.65 a troy ounce.
EUR/NOK was up 0.10% to 9.6845, while USD/NOK fell 0.43% to 8.4885.
The US Dollar Index Futures was down 0.38% at 95.468.
