Investing.com – Norway stocks were lower after the close on Wednesday, as losses in the Diversified Financials, Telecoms and Commercial Service And Supplies sectors led shares lower.
At the close in Oslo, the Oslo OBX lost 0.44%.
The best performers of the session on the Oslo OBX were Nel ASA (OL:NEL), which rose 1.46% or 0.100 points to trade at 6.950 at the close. Meanwhile, Petroleum Geo - Services ASA (OL:PGS) added 1.19% or 0.15 points to end at 12.38 and Norsk Hydro ASA (OL:NHY) was up 1.00% or 0.33 points to 33.23 in late trade.
The worst performers of the session were Golden Ocean Group Ltd (OL:GOGLT), which fell 5.02% or 2.85 points to trade at 53.90 at the close. Leroy Seafood Group ASA (OL:LSG) declined 2.55% or 1.54 points to end at 58.88 and Norwegian Air Shuttle ASA (OL:NWC) was down 2.32% or 1.07 points to 45.07.
Rising stocks outnumbered declining ones on the Oslo Stock Exchange by 107 to 96 and 26 ended unchanged.
Crude oil for September delivery was up 0.12% or 0.07 to $56.84 a barrel. Elsewhere in commodities trading, Brent oil for delivery in September rose 0.50% or 0.32 to hit $64.15 a barrel, while the August Gold Futures contract fell 0.02% or 0.25 to trade at $1421.45 a troy ounce.
EUR/NOK was down 0.54% to 9.6223, while USD/NOK fell 0.46% to 8.6355.
The US Dollar Index Futures was down 0.04% at 97.377.
