Investing.com – Norway stocks were lower after the close on Thursday, as losses in the Auto & components, Pharma Biotech & Life Sciences and Diversified Financials sectors led shares lower.
At the close in Oslo, the Oslo OBX fell 0.43% to hit a new 6-months low.
The best performers of the session on the Oslo OBX were TGS-NOPEC Geophysical Company ASA (OL:TGS), which rose 3.31% or 6.5 points to trade at 201.1 at the close. Meanwhile, Gjensidige Forsikring ASA (OL:GJFS) added 0.73% or 1.2 points to end at 165.8 and Telenor ASA (OL:TEL) was up 0.61% or 1.1 points to 182.5 in late trade.
The worst performers of the session were Nel ASA (OL:NEL), which fell 5.31% or 0.330 points to trade at 5.880 at the close. Golden Ocean Group Ltd (OL:GOGLT) declined 4.80% or 2.36 points to end at 46.69 and DNO International ASA (OL:DNO) was down 4.38% or 0.53 points to 11.47.
Falling stocks outnumbered advancing ones on the Oslo Stock Exchange by 162 to 54 and 26 ended unchanged.
Shares in DNO International ASA (OL:DNO) fell to 52-week lows; losing 4.38% or 0.53 to 11.47.
Crude oil for September delivery was down 1.74% or 0.96 to $54.27 a barrel. Elsewhere in commodities trading, Brent oil for delivery in October fell 2.34% or 1.39 to hit $58.09 a barrel, while the December Gold Futures contract rose 0.15% or 2.35 to trade at $1530.15 a troy ounce.
EUR/NOK was up 0.04% to 10.0087, while USD/NOK rose 0.39% to 9.0177.
The US Dollar Index Futures was up 0.22% at 98.042.
