Investing.com – Norway stocks were lower after the close on Thursday, as losses in the Auto & components, Transport and Technology Hardware & Equipment sectors led shares lower.
At the close in Oslo, the Oslo OBX fell 0.24%.
The best performers of the session on the Oslo OBX were Nel ASA (OL:NEL), which rose 4.60% or 0.250 points to trade at 5.680 at the close. Meanwhile, TGS-NOPEC Geophysical Company ASA (OL:TGS) added 1.71% or 4.1 points to end at 244.0 and Aker ASA (OL:AKER) was up 1.37% or 8.0 points to 590.0 in late trade.
The worst performers of the session were Norwegian Air Shuttle ASA (OL:NWC), which fell 21.48% or 38.30 points to trade at 145.00 at the close. Petroleum Geo - Services ASA (OL:PGS) declined 4.61% or 0.82 points to end at 16.86 and Golden Ocean Group Ltd (OL:GOGLT) was down 1.76% or 0.90 points to 50.10.
Falling stocks outnumbered advancing ones on the Oslo Stock Exchange by 115 to 69 and 25 ended unchanged.
Shares in Nel ASA (OL:NEL) rose to 5-year highs; up 4.60% or 0.250 to 5.680. Shares in Norwegian Air Shuttle ASA (OL:NWC) fell to 5-year lows; down 21.48% or 38.30 to 145.00. Shares in Golden Ocean Group Ltd (OL:GOGLT) fell to 52-week lows; down 1.76% or 0.90 to 50.10.
Crude oil for March delivery was up 1.24% or 0.65 to $53.27 a barrel. Elsewhere in commodities trading, Brent oil for delivery in March rose 0.31% or 0.19 to hit $61.33 a barrel, while the February Gold Futures contract fell 0.21% or 2.65 to trade at $1281.35 a troy ounce.
EUR/NOK was down 0.36% to 9.7098, while USD/NOK rose 0.17% to 8.5775.
The US Dollar Index Futures was up 0.45% at 96.203.
