Investing.com – Norway stocks were lower after the close on Wednesday, as losses in the Media, Pharma Biotech & Life Sciences and Banking sectors led shares lower.
At the close in Oslo, the Oslo OBX declined 0.23%.
The best performers of the session on the Oslo OBX were BW LPG Ltd (OL:BWLPG), which rose 4.35% or 1.32 points to trade at 31.63 at the close. Meanwhile, Norsk Hydro ASA (OL:NHY) added 1.98% or 1.05 points to end at 54.10 and Norwegian Air Shuttle ASA (OL:NWC) was up 1.45% or 2.9 points to 203.0 in late trade.
The worst performers of the session were Nordic Nanovector ASA (OL:NANOV), which fell 3.97% or 3.15 points to trade at 76.15 at the close. REC Silicon ASA (OL:REC) declined 1.66% or 0.02 points to end at 1.01 and Schibsted ASA A (OL:SBSTA) was down 1.34% or 2.5 points to 183.4.
Falling stocks outnumbered advancing ones on the Oslo Stock Exchange by 84 to 84 and 36 ended unchanged.
Shares in Norsk Hydro ASA (OL:NHY) rose to 5-year highs; rising 1.98% or 1.05 to 54.10.
Crude oil for October delivery was up 1.00% or 0.48 to $48.31 a barrel. Elsewhere in commodities trading, Brent oil for delivery in October rose 1.08% or 0.56 to hit $52.43 a barrel, while the December Gold Futures contract rose 0.17% or 2.21 to trade at $1293.21 a troy ounce.
EUR/NOK was down 0.08% to 9.2965, while USD/NOK fell 0.39% to 7.8794.
The US Dollar Index Futures was down 0.21% at 93.22.
