Investing.com – Norway stocks were lower after the close on Thursday, as losses in the Media, Transport and Diversified Financials sectors led shares lower.
At the close in Oslo, the Oslo OBX lost 0.23%.
The best performers of the session on the Oslo OBX were Tomra Systems ASA (OL:TOM), which rose 1.38% or 1.80 points to trade at 132.30 at the close. Meanwhile, Gjensidige Forsikring ASA (OL:GJFG) added 1.35% or 2.60 points to end at 195.10 and Yara International ASA (OL:YAR) was up 1.07% or 3.20 points to 301.40 in late trade.
The worst performers of the session were Norwegian Air Shuttle ASA (OL:NAS), which fell 16.41% or 2.10 points to trade at 10.70 at the close. Nel ASA (OL:NEL) declined 2.17% or 0.13 points to end at 5.87 and Frontline Ltd (OL:FRO) was down 2.01% or 5.40 points to 263.00.
Falling stocks outnumbered advancing ones on the Oslo Stock Exchange by 161 to 113 and 36 ended unchanged.
Shares in Gjensidige Forsikring ASA (OL:GJFG) rose to 52-week highs; up 1.35% or 2.60 to 195.10.
Crude oil for August delivery was down 0.19% or 0.16 to $83.72 a barrel. Elsewhere in commodities trading, Brent oil for delivery in September fell 0.17% or 0.15 to hit $87.19 a barrel, while the August Gold Futures contract fell 0.10% or 2.40 to trade at $2,367.00 a troy ounce.
EUR/NOK was up 0.28% to 11.42, while USD/NOK rose 0.15% to 10.57.
The US Dollar Index Futures was down 0.24% at 104.83.
