Investing.com – Norway stocks were lower after the close on Wednesday, as losses in the Healthcare Equipment & Services, Utilities and Commercial Service And Supplies sectors led shares lower.
At the close in Oslo, the Oslo OBX fell 0.23%.
The best performers of the session on the Oslo OBX were Aker BP ASA (OL:AKERBP), which rose 1.59% or 3.60 points to trade at 230.00 at the close. Meanwhile, Aker ASA (OL:AKER) added 1.56% or 6.8 points to end at 442.0 and Equinor ASA (OL:EQNR) was up 0.86% or 1.3 points to 152.3 in late trade.
The worst performers of the session were Petroleum Geo - Services ASA (OL:PGS), which fell 3.88% or 0.42 points to trade at 10.40 at the close. Elkem ASA (OL:ELK) declined 2.66% or 0.58 points to end at 21.22 and Norwegian Air Shuttle ASA (OL:NWC) was down 2.42% or 0.90 points to 36.36.
Falling stocks outnumbered advancing ones on the Oslo Stock Exchange by 107 to 104 and 22 ended unchanged.
Shares in Petroleum Geo - Services ASA (OL:PGS) fell to 5-year lows; falling 3.88% or 0.42 to 10.40.
Crude oil for October delivery was up 1.58% or 0.87 to $55.80 a barrel. Elsewhere in commodities trading, Brent oil for delivery in November rose 1.61% or 0.95 to hit $59.98 a barrel, while the December Gold Futures contract fell 0.34% or 5.35 to trade at $1546.45 a troy ounce.
EUR/NOK was up 0.17% to 10.0120, while USD/NOK rose 0.27% to 9.0365.
The US Dollar Index Futures was up 0.19% at 98.097.
