Investing.com – Norway stocks were lower after the close on Thursday, as losses in the Materials, Commercial Service And Supplies and Pharma Biotech & Life Sciences sectors led shares lower.
At the close in Oslo, the Oslo OBX fell 0.23%.
The best performers of the session on the Oslo OBX were P/f Bakkafrost (OL:BAKKA), which rose 4.40% or 19.20 points to trade at 456.00 at the close. Meanwhile, Golden Ocean Group Ltd (OL:GOGLT) added 2.89% or 1.24 points to end at 44.14 and Grieg Seafood (OL:GSFO) was up 2.85% or 3.10 points to 112.00 in late trade.
The worst performers of the session were Norwegian Air Shuttle ASA (OL:NWC), which fell 11.87% or 15.15 points to trade at 112.50 at the close. Nel ASA (OL:NEL) declined 6.84% or 0.390 points to end at 5.310 and Norsk Hydro ASA (OL:NHY) was down 5.58% or 2.14 points to 36.24.
Falling stocks outnumbered advancing ones on the Oslo Stock Exchange by 100 to 78 and 26 ended unchanged.
Shares in Norwegian Air Shuttle ASA (OL:NWC) fell to 5-year lows; losing 11.87% or 15.15 to 112.50. Shares in Norsk Hydro ASA (OL:NHY) fell to 52-week lows; down 5.58% or 2.14 to 36.24.
Crude oil for March delivery was down 3.83% or 2.07 to $51.94 a barrel. Elsewhere in commodities trading, Brent oil for delivery in April fell 3.06% or 1.92 to hit $60.77 a barrel, while the April Gold Futures contract rose 0.06% or 0.75 to trade at $1315.15 a troy ounce.
EUR/NOK was up 0.47% to 9.7478, while USD/NOK rose 0.51% to 8.5842.
The US Dollar Index Futures was up 0.08% at 96.227.
